The St. Pius X  CYO Sports Lineup

St. Pius X offers a variety of sports. To register click the button above. The Sweeney Pass is a season pass to all home games in the SPX gym during the 2022-2023 school year. The $30 cost includes admission for you and your entire immediate family and will be charged to your FACTS account. You can sign up for a Sweeney Pass at the admission table the next time you are at an SPX home event. The Sweeney Pass order form will be available online soon.

• Registration and Payment: When registering through Orgs Online, if you want the fees charged to your FACTS account, when you are asked for a credit card, you can simply "save registration" and your child will be registered for the specific sport and your FACTS account will be charged. 
• Physicals: All student athletes must have a physical not more than 12 months old on file to participate in CYO Activities. The physical release form that was permitted last year, is not sufficient this year.  You can download the required physical form here. All completed physical forms should be submitted directly to Jamie Pike prior to the start of any sports season. Your student may not be allowed to participate in practices or compete with their team without this completed form.

Good Sportsmanship

The athletic programs offered by SPX, are an extension and expression of the values upon which our religious beliefs are based. As such, love of God and love of neighbor are two goals we strive to attain.

It is our intention to provide programs and direction that allow each child to maximize the talents which God bestowed. At the same time, all associated with the program must conduct themselves in a manner that exhibits good sportsmanship and love of neighbor. SPX parents, athletes, and coaches shall adhere to the SPX sports code of conduct.

CYO Concussion Education & Policy

The Catholic Youth Organization has partnered with St. Vincent Sports Performance and the Athlete's Concussion Alliance to provide the tools and information regarding the CYO Concussion Education Initiative and Policy.  It is very important that all CYO coaches, parents, and participants are educated in the signs and symptoms of a concussion and how to proceed if a child has sustained or is suspected of sustaining a concussion.

NOTICE: The following amendment to the Athletic Club's by-laws has been voted on and approved by the Athletic Committee and the Pastoral Council as written below. Article VII Notwithstanding any other provision of these Bylaws to the contrary, No Officer, Sports Coordinator, or at-large member of the Athletic Committee may be elected to serve or serve more than three consecutive 2-year terms in any one or more of such capacities. 

Event Planning Guidelines & Policies

If you are a parent volunteer or staff member and are planning on chairing a fundraising event at St. Pius X catholic Church and School you will need to seek approval first from the parish office. The Fundraising Policy applies to all groups sponsored by St. Pius X Parish and exists to ensure that fundraising is equitable to both donors and parish groups and aligns with the mission of the Church.

The Protection of Children

As part of its ongoing commitment to the protection of children, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis has implemented an online training program called Safe Parish. There is a link on the archindy.org site. Register using Passcode: Archindy2021. All priests deacons, employees and volunteers who have contact with children must complete the training. The course takes about 55 minutes to complete, including a background check and video training. If you are a school family, $7 will be charged to your FACTS account. If you are not a school family, please send a check to the Parish Office for $7 payable to St. Pius X Parish.
